The IC of GB welcomed their new members on Saturday 1^st February, at the Wimbledon Club.

A social mix-in was held at 5.30-7pm before reception drinks and dinner. Nine new members attended, with over 30 members and guests in total.

After a lovely three course meal, Benson Greatrex gave an overview of the IC Council, the IC of GB and a run through of the key fixtures and events that take place during the year. New members were then presented with their IC of GB ties and bracelets for the men and women respectively.  Anne Clark was introduced as the 2020 Captain, as was Susie Dart, in her New Member Liaison role.

Good fortune continues to shine on the Shanghai ATP Masters 1000. In its inaugural year in 2009, Shanghai was awarded ATP World Tour Masters 1000 Tournament of the Year, as voted by the ATP players. The Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2006, is the first of three ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments played on clay. The tournament is a player and fan favourite due to its magnificent location and long tradition of champions.

The 12-day Sony Ericsson Open boasts the participation of the world's top men's and women's players, and has become the place to be seen in Miami with a record 312,386 guests visiting the Tennis Center at Crandon Park in 2010. Players have selected it as the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournament of the year six times, from 2002-06 and in '08.

The Mutua Madrid Open is staged at the impressive new stadium in Madrid, the city’s Magic Box Tennis venue. The Mayor described it as “one of the best sporting facilities in the world which will definitively reinforce Madrid’s status as a great global tennis capital”. Previously held indoors, 2009 marked the first outdoor clay edition of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event.
