IC of GB vs Independent School Tennis Old Girls Match: IC of GB Ladies v Independent School Tennis Old Girls Date: Sunday 21st September Venue: Moor Park Team: Georgina Axon Geogina Desch Kerry Quirk Sara Jenkins Result: 4-0 win to the IC of GB The day started a lot better than last year, as last year the event was cancelled in the morning due to the torrential rain. This year, we even managed to get on the grass courts to play the match, which was a nice treat, right at the end of the grass court season. The IC team got off to a great start with both pairs winning their opening matches. The two Georgie’s won comfortably, while Kerry and Sara got their money’s worth on the grass with a 3rd set match tie-break win. In the 2nd round of matches against our opposing numbered pair, the two Georgie’s proved too strong again, winning comfortably. This was backed up by another win for Kerry and Sara, making the overall score 4-0 to the IC of GB.
