Meet a member: Manuel Sánchez Montemayor, IC of Mexico Manuel Sánchez Montemayor, a rising tennis star from Mexico, began his journey at age 7 in Rome, quickly earning recognition in Italy's tennis scene as ‘Il Messicano’. Returning to Mexico (where he was then known as ‘El Italiano’), he claimed three junior national championships and won double gold in the National Youth Olympics. After transitioning to the professional circuit at 16, he now competes internationally and aims to establish a tennis academy in the future, while supporting underprivileged young people. Manuel is a relatively new member of our IC community, having joined the IC of Mexico in October 2022. He really likes the atmosphere and hospitality at IC events, and particularly enjoyed playing the IC of Italy at TC Parioli in Rome last year, and watching the Rome Masters 1000 tournament. In August, Manuel is looking forward to participating in the IC of Great Britain Centenary celebrations. You can follow Manuel on Instagram here.
