Spring Meeting 2011

Ten mixed pairs entered the 2011 Spring Meeting held at the David Lloyd Centre, Raynes Park.  It turned out to be a fun but competitive tournament with many new members taking part, paring up with some of our long standing members.

Gill Brook and John Doran eventually claimed the King of Sweden trophy by beating Ali Fleming and David Culshaw, 7-6 in a closely fought group winners’ play-off.

The day ended with an informal New Members’ Dinner at which this year’s Captain, Henk Nijeboer and your Chairman, David Waite said a few words of welcome and handed out the customary IC ties and scarves to the new members.
