PUBLIC SCHOOLS OLD BOYS

Match Result: IC of GB 5 – 4 Public School Old Boys

Captained by Paul Siviter, the IC of GB fixture against The Public School Old Boys Lawn Tennis Association (better known as 'The PUBS') at Stoke Park came down to the last match. 

The PUBS put out a strong team and it was an extremely close fixture, nicely poised at 3-3 after the second round. The result was decided on the last match, which fell in favour of the IC 7-5, 7-6. There were a number of tie breaks contested throughout the day, illustrating how close the match was.

Once again the weather was very kind to us, so we were fortunate enough to play on the grass courts. Although it was competitive, the match was played in good spirits, and the day was finished off with a match tea which was enjoyed by all.

Our thanks go out to Stoke Park for allowing us to use the venue once again for this fixture, and thanks to all of those who played.
