NEW MEMBERS' DINNER

New Members’ Dinner
Date: Saturday 9th January 2015
Venue: All England Lawn Tennis Club

The IC of GB held its annual New Members’ Dinner in the Rolex room at the All England Lawn Tennis Club.  Eight new members were present: James Marsalek, Vicky Brook, Jonathan Tassell, Nathan Rooney, Nigel Mann, Frederick Menzies, David Mills and Natasha Starling.  Also attending was Dominic Hodgson who was elected in 2014 but was unable to attend last year’s dinner.  Unfortunately Lana Tipsy-Rush, Dan Evans, Libby Eden and Adam Boucher were unable to attend. In total there were 31 people at the dinner.

David Waite, Chairman of the IC of GB, provided a welcome speech in which he provided a short biography of each member and encouraged all new members to get involved.  Those in attendance received their IC tie (for the men) and the IC scarf (for the ladies) from Barry Weatherill, President of the IC of GB.

The dinner was preceded by a game of tennis, thus providing the opportunity for the players to meet everyone and some of the committee members who also played.

The evening was arranged by Katherine Laidler.  Our thanks to Kath and the All England Lawn Tennis Club for the opportunity to hold the evening at the club.
