10 October 2010 / Categories: Recent Results and Events, 2010 IC of GB versus IC of Germany - Dunlop Trophy Played at Edgbaston Priory Club The match was held over the weekend with 6 singles and 3 doubles on Saturday and 2 further doubles on Sunday. There was a sighseeing trip around Birmingham on Friday for the IC of Germany players. The official dinner was held at Edgbaston Priory with notable guests being Micky Fallows Chairman Edgbaston Priory and David and Gill Waite. The weekend was a great success with dry weather and a good competitive spirit.,However, inspite of the best endeavours of IC Captain Bill Gowans, the IC of GB were the eventual losers being beaten by a very solid IC of Germnany Team led by Wolfgang Popp who regain the Dunlop Trophy from the IC of GB. We look forward to the next match in Germany in two years time!
