IC of GB v Public Schools Old Boys Team, 22nd August 2009

Our annual fixture against the Public Schools Old Boys team was held once again held at Stoke Park on Saturday August 22nd.The weather was very good and we played on some excellent grass courts.

This year the PUBS team had players including Stuart Rhodes,Blake Hutchins and Chris Clarke so a stronger team than in previous years.An excellent day for our first pair in Paul Siviter and Venki Sunduram who won all three matches,two good wins for our second pair in Nick Jones and Paul Riley and a single win for our veteran pair of Russell Howat and Philip Siviter gave the IC of GB a 6-3 win.

I would like to once again give a special thank you to Stoke Park and Chester and Hertford King who let us use their splendid club in such beautiful surroundings,it is very much appreciated.

Finally a special thank you to our Chairman David Waite and his wife Gill for supporting our team during the afternoon.
