The IC of GB aims to provide a club for past and present International tennis players, to promote and renew friendships across the net and the world, by playing friendly matches. Also, to encourage the practise of fairplay and sportsmanship, wherever possible, and to try to develop these traits in junior players as well as to promote tennis generally.

Result: IC of GB 22.5 – 7.5 IC of France
Event Date: Saturday 4th – Sunday 5th October 2014

Captain fantastic, Mark Beim, continued his winning ways with a home win against the IC of France on the indoor courts at the All England Lawn Tennis Club by 22.5 rubbers to 7.5. It’s the second year in a row the IC of GB has won both at home and away (in Paris in May). There was a formal dinner on the Saturday night and as always we would like to thank the AELTC for hosting the fixture.

Danes too tough...
Result: IC of GB 8 – 13 IC of Denmark
Event Date: Friday 26th – Sunday 28th September 2014

Anne Clark, Niall Sweeney, David Waite, Tim Phillips, Mike Carroll, Chris Clark and David Collins represented the IC of GB against a strong IC of Denmark team, which included a member of their Davis Cup squad. Although Anne Clark won all of her matches without conceding a set, the Danes secured the overall match by 13 rubbers to 8 on clay courts at the Rungsted Tennis Club just outside Copenhagen. Result: IC of GB crowned Champions
Event Date: Friday 5th – Sunday 7th September 2014

Four teams participated in the Carreta Trophy, hosted by the IC of Germany in Heidelberg from 5th-7th September: Great Britain, Germany, France and Belgium. The IC of Great Britain, represented by Lorraine Ristic, Pauline Fisher and Shirley Fox, were crowned 2014 Champions! Read more...

On Ilkla Moor Baht ‘at...
Result: IC of GB 3 – 1 Yorkshire
Event Date: Saturday 30th August 2014

The IC won a close encounter against an experienced Yorkshire  team 3-1 at Ilkley LTC. A very tight first round saw the teams share the rubbers winning both in final set tiebreaks. The second round brought two keenly contested matches with the IC running out as winners. Read more...
PUBLIC SCHOOL OLD BOYS PUBLIC SCHOOL OLD BOYS
Off to the PUBS...
Result: IC of GB 7 – 2 PUBS
Event Date: Saturday 9th August 2014

The IC of GB team of Lee Childs, Chris Clark, David Culshaw, Jin May, Paul Siviter and Matt Thomas beat a representative team from the Public School Old Boys 7-2. Originally planned for grass, the fixture had to be switched to artificial clay due to torrential rain the previous evening. The match consisted of three men's doubles pairs competing against each other; followed by a fantastic match supper at Stoke Park.
