The event was played at the lovely Hotel Del Lago on their excellent red clay courts. The hotel is situated about 12 miles from the very popular resort of Punta Del Este. Players from GB, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, United States, Uruguay, participated in a men's doubles tournament with different age groups.

The 2012 IC Spring Meeting and New Members’ dinner was held this year on Sunday March 4 at the David Lloyd Centre in Raynes Park. 10 strong pairs competed for the King of Sweden’s Cup with Kate Gowar and Rob Searle winning in the final against Andrea Munch-Hermansen and David Culshaw.

India’s 60th anniversary was celebrated in great style in New Delhi in November 2011. Apart from four teams from different parts of India there were six ICs represented i.e. USA, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Mexico and GB.

In order to increase the availability of matches to our newer members it was decided to increase the size of this match from two men and two ladies to four and four. However, it proved difficult to find ladies to play, so a big thank you goes to Steph Cornish, Laura Peterzan and Anna Hawkins for being so accommodating and playing extra matches (and winning the majority of them!).

A very strong USA team took revenge for their defeat at Stoke Park in 2009. This time the USA beat GB convincingly by 36-18 (detailed results to follow), bringing the overall tally to 4-4 after eight matches for the Ted Avory Trophy.

The match this year was again played at St George’s Hill LTC on their grass courts. The match comprises 2 pair doubles in both 60+ and 45+ age groups. Due to it being an evening match only 2 sets are played against opposing pairs.

For the 2011 IC of GB Pre Wimbledon event our guests were the ICs of Barbados, Denmark and Sweden and as usual the first venue was the Edgbaston Priory Club, Birmingham.

A five man team travelled to Barcelona this year to represent GB in the 2011 Potter Cup. Graham Neale, Simon Curtis and Chris Hearn all returned to compete again whilst excellent debut's were made by Steve Brett and Chris Clarke.

The Compass IC European Junior Challenge was played in Bucharest, Romania, from 9 to 15 May 2011. Our team consisting of Youssef Hassan, Chris Morrow, Sabrina Federici and Hollie Davies with John Morris as captain was only just beaten into second place by losing the deciding mixed doubles tiebreak against Germany.
