Match Result: IC of GB 2 – 2 AELTC
Date: Thursday 6th October 2016
Venue: AELTC

The match was a high standard and was played in a great spirit. The IC of GB won the ladies doubles relatively easily (partly due to injury to one of the AELTC players) but the men's doubles was very evenly balanced. The second set tie break was brilliant to watch with the partnership of Clarke and Culshaw saving match points in the second set, before going on to clinch the match in a third set champions tie break!

The doubles matches were followed by one set mixed matches which the AELTC won to tie the match 2-2 overall.

Both teams then enjoyed a fantastic meal in the Rolex Suite after the match. Amanda Janes said a few words on behalf of the AELTC team and the IC players were all given beautiful white leather note books. Karen Hunter responded on behalf of the IC of GB by saying how lucky we are to have this annual fixture, always played at such a high level and in such a fun spirit. And she thanked the AELTC for their organisation and hospitality and echoed on behalf of the IC Committee how grateful we are for this fixture.
