IC of France

Friday 25th - Monday 28th May 2018

Result: IC of GB 2 - 10 IC of France
Venue: La Faisanderie and La Boulie

The IC of France delivered a comfortable 10-2 win against the British touring team in a storm hit match that took place on the eve of the French Open in Paris.

Unfortunately the courts on the opening day of play at the beautiful Club Stade Francais were unplayable until the early evening and only three matches were completed.  Despite the damp conditions, the official dinner that followed was very enjoyable and there were entertaining speeches from Marie Ann, the French Captain, as well as Thierry Pham, Benson Greatrex and Mark Beim.

The sun came out on Saturday and a full set of fixtures were completed at La Boulie, the venue that has traditionally been used for this match over the last few years.  Lunch on the terrace overlooking the golf course was stunning.

Our thanks to Marie Anne, Thierry Pham and the IC of France for their wonderful hospitality and in particular for arranging tickets to the Presidents Box at Roland Garros on Monday 28th May.  It was an amazing day as usual!
