The match was held on the grass courts of North Oxford Lawn Tennis Club, after the forecast rain thankfully failed to materialise.

A strong IC team beat Oxford University 7-2 in a hard fought match. The IC team consisted of Richard Wire, Greg Weir, Simon Curtis, Tim Matthewson (match manager), Cameron Johnston and Fergus O'Connell (a member of the IC of Ireland, who kindly stepped in after illness forced the withdrawal of one of our team).
