IC WALLENBERG TROPHY

Match Result: IC of GB finished runners-up

Venue: Stockholm, Sweden

Chrissie Runnicles, Laura Peterzan, David Collins, and Jim May (captain) represented the IC of GB at the Wallenberg Trophy in Stockholm against the ICs of France, Germany, and Sweden.

Day 1 saw the GB team squeak a win over reigning champs Germany (by 3 games!).

Day 2 saw the team continue with a convincing 6-0 win against Sweden, setting up a final vs France on Sunday.

The GB team needed a 4-2 win against France to lift the trophy but unfortunately - despite some epic and close matches - the team drew 3-3, meaning the IC of France were the overall champions.

Well done to France and great effort by IC GB. Thank you to Sweden for a fabulous weekend.
