The IC of GB hosted the ICs of Australia and The Netherlands in the stunning surroundings of The Hurlingham Club, in the third and final fixture for our visitors.

We were unfortunate to have overnight rain, making all but one of the grass courts unplayable. Four lucky pairs were able to play their matches on the grass, which was in excellent condition, with the remainder being played on artificial grass. Nevertheless, the sun shone and there were many competitive and enjoyable matches, all played in excellent spirit.

On the conclusion of the matches, we enjoyed the company of our guests during the exhibition doubles between Jamie Murray & Bruno Soares and Horia Tecau & Jean-Julien Rojer; a fantastic match to watch. We finished the day with Pimms on the lawn, ahead of our guests’ visit to the first day of The Championships the following day.

As always, many thanks to The Hurlingham Club for their hospitality, and to all the players and supporters.
