IC GOLF DAY

WIMBLEDON REFEREE BECOMES IC GOLF CHAMPION
Event Dates: Wednesday 7th May 2014

The annual golf day organised brilliantly by Brian Hatton was once again held at the beautiful High Course at Moor Park. The course was in magnificent condition which most of the 24 competitors stated after the round. Winner of this year’s event with 35 points was Andrew Jarrett while Simon Curtis still recovering from an operation secured the second prize on 32 points (and two count backs!). The Ladies’ prize was won by Caroline Greatrex with 29 points who regained the position she held two years ago.

The longest drive was hit by Shamus Donald while IC Chairman David Waite capitalised on his home advantage by hitting closest to the pin on the 18th hole. Mike Ryan a former Chairman and Board member of Moor Park and a guest of John O'Brien, with whom he went to school in Dublin, won the Guest Prize with 32 points. The random prize went to Julian Tatum. The day was concluded with a lovely three course meal in the historic clubhouse.

Our thanks go to Moor Park, the Greenkeepers and all staff for making the day so memorable.
